History: The Baptists formed their congregation in 1847.  They built their first church in Georgetown in 1869 on the hill on Main Street.  Maple Avenue Baptist Church was built in 1960.  The structure underwent a major reconstruction in 2000 when the Sanctuary was rebuilt.
