Producing the plays for the Drama Series involves all sorts of people working toward a common goal. Although the actors are the most visible participants, equally important are . . . the producer, director, set designer, lighting designer, sound technician, stage manager as well as the folks doing costumes, props, set construction and painting, and publicity. A host of jobs involve people at all levels in every production.
No experience is necessary. We will train you. If you have experience, so much the better. Hard work becomes a pleasure for all of us when it's directed towards the thrill of the curtain rising on opening night.

With a passion for theatre, especially Canadian plays, this talented group enjoys both the serious and comic, from the Theatre Ontario Festival success of Timothy Findley’s The Stillborn Lover to the madcap laughter of Over My Dead Body and the poignant humour of Norm Foster's The Melville Boys. And audiences always remember those astounding sets for The Trip to Bountiful and Vinci. Annual membership ($10 single and household $20) entitles you to take part in any of our activities and to keep in touch through our regular newsletter.

This season of the Oakville Drama Series is the thirtieth year that the Burl-Oak Theatre Group has presented hilarious comedy and absorbing drama at the Oakville Centre for the Performing Arts. Recent audiences have been charmed by the wacky and witty comedy of Self-Help; the evocative and deeply moving drama, The Night of the Iguana; and the uproarious and fast paced farce, Charley's Aunt.
